healthy honey banana muffins

It’s about time I whipped up a healthy recipe around here. These are great for kids but I enjoyed them too!

healthy honey banana muffins

dry ingredients:

  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 tbsp plain yogurt

wet ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


combine the wet ingredients in a large bowl. combine the dry ingredients in a small bowl. add the dry ingredients into the wet and mix until combined. fill the muffin cups to the very top to ensure you get a nice round top. bake at 425 degrees for 5 minutes and then turn the oven down to 350 degrees (keep muffins in oven) and bake for additional 25-30 minutes until the tops begin to turn golden brown.
